Extensive plant molecular biology and gene cloning that started with creating viral vectors for nano-particle delivery, and morphed into more extensive 'correction' of Agrobacterium transient reporter genes for cryptic introns that were interfering with splicing. These reporter genes including mNeonGreen, mCherry are also a component of optimizing gene expression in duckweed as part of a Chesapeake Bay watershed protection project.
