Mainara Muhl's Profile

Mainara Muhl

Background:

I am a Brazil Scientific Mobility Program student and I will do a research project during the Summer/2015 as part of my exchange program. My major is Biochemical Engineering at Federal University of Rio Grande. I have some experience with fungi in cereals, that gives me a good notion in microbiology research. I also worked with influence of environmental contaminants in gene expression in zebrafish, that give me a molecular biology knowledge.

Projects:

I will be working with the ‘algae group’ with a particular focus on moving forward the genetic engineering of cyanobacteria to produce biopolymers.
