Background:
I am a rising junior in the Penn State University, studying Chemical Engineering. I just joined in Curtis Lab during the summer of 2015. After I graduate, I would like to go into cosmetic, perfume or food industry.
Fun facts about me:
I’m already legal drinking age...even though I look 15.
I have a sensitive nose.
Projects:
My work includes algae growth and maintenance, including establish and maintaining axenic lines. Predominantly, I have been working with Poryphrydium purpureum, a carbohydrate-producing PURPLE algae! I am also taking on a project using cyanobacteria as a protein expression platform.
