Currently a third-year Ph.D. candidate in Plant Biology.

Projects: NSF/GATES BREAD (Basic Research to Enable Agricultural Development)

Improving yam (Dioscorea rotundata) propagation and transformation systems through:

- Using inducible transcription factors to initiate somatic embryogenesis (SE)
- Understanding how phytocyanin-like arabinogalactan proteins enhance SE
- Testing low-cost and efficient temporary immersion bioreactors (TIBs)
