Background:
I am from Borno state in Nigeria. I was born on the 17th of January 1998. I enjoy scenic bike rides and walks. You will most likely catch me with my camera. I graduated high school at 16 and took a gap year applying for schools while I interned at a photography studio called Bantu (best non school year). I am interested in learning the french language, hoping I get an opportunity to spend a year in France after I graduate College. I am a Chemical Engineering major and still deciding on my minor(s).
Projects:
I am working on both of CurtisLab's global food security projects. Growing up in Nigeria and raised on yams, I am very excited to be conducting research with the CurtisLab's NSF BREAD project "Get Yams Into Farmer's Hands". I am specifically working towards demonstration of the Temporary Immersion Bioreactor (TIB) system for propagation of yam (Dioscorea). Because of the protracted nature of research involving (slow-growing...even with the TIB) yam, I am fortunate to be working on the transdisciplinary DARPA Insect Allies project, where I am currently learning the rudimentary aspects of plant transformation and molecular techniques (e.g. PCR, cloning).
